Avantasia , a project led by Tobias Sammet Here Be Dragons on February 28, 2025, through Napalm Records . The release was highly anticipated, given the positive reception of the singles recently released by the band.
Tobias Sammet , German musician and mastermind behind Avantasia, stated that the album is the most cohesive and daring of the band's career. He highlighted the creative and carefree approach, which recaptures the spirit of their early years in the music scene.
“I created ten distinct tracks that came together as the most solid chapter in Avantasia’s history. I’m full of energy and can’t wait to share this work with the fans,” said Sammet, via his official Instagram
In addition to being an album different from the band's original formula, it features very special guest appearances by: Ronnie Atkins from Pretty Maids , Tommy Karevik , vocalist of Kamelot , Kenny Leckremo from HEAT , and the great Michael Kiske , vocalist of Helloween , on the track "The Moorlands At Twilight".
Also bringing a sense of nostalgia to the album are Geoff Tate , formerly of Queensryche, on the title track “Here Be Dragons,” Adrianne Cowan on “Avalon,” the legendary Bob Catley of Magnum on “Bring On The Night,” and Roy Khan on the track “Everybody’s Here Until The End,” considered by Sammet to be the best ballad he has ever composed.

Avantasia: 2025 on tour
As previously published here on wikimetal , Tobias Sammet and his musicians will be touring Europe, with tours scheduled for March and April 2025. According to the German musician, the shows will feature new material, band classics, and rarities, with a spectacular stage production.
Furthermore, Avantasia has also been confirmed as one of the headliners for the Bangers Open Air , which takes place from May 2nd to 4th, 2025, at the Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo. Tickets are already available through Clube do Ingresso .
Finally, check out the album's most successful single, according to Sammet: “'Creepshow' is a perfect single. It's fresh, loud, and bold – a straightforward and devastating anthem. Furthermore, even though it might seem reminiscent of my earlier writing, I think we managed to turn it into a signature Avantasia song, as we emphasized in the music video. This is the most vibrant and eccentric music video I've ever filmed in my entire career, not too serious, but certainly of serious quality!”
