August Burns Red has released the track “Paramount,” which will be featured on the band's upcoming album, Guardians , slated for release on April 3rd.
Guitarist JB Brubaker stated that the track is one of his favorites from the new album. Drummer Matt Greiner elaborated, explaining the song's meaning: “Several times over the last few years, I’ve felt indifferent and uninterested in things I used to enjoy. I’ve learned that there is actually meaning in suffering. It’s not random or purposeless. I’ve discovered that the more I faced the fire, the more empathetic I became towards other people who were also hurting. I found meaning in pain and stopped running from it. That’s what ‘Paramount’ is about.” Wow, beautiful, right?
