August Burns Red has announced that he will be returning with a new album in April of this year. Guardians will be released on the 3rd by Fearless Records and the first single has already been released.
“Defender” was released with a comic book-inspired music video that, according to guitarist and comic book fan Brent Rambler , matches the song's message: “The song is about having that person who will always be by your side through thick and thin. I'm a big comic book fan and I thought the lyrics could easily be turned into a story.”
Speaking about the album Guardians, guitarist JB Brubaker said that it will show a greater unity within the group, since he and bassist Dustin Davidson worked together throughout the entire album process.
“ Jake [ Luhrs , vocalist] and Brent also teamed up to create a more powerful vocal sound. We’ve never spent as much time in the studio as we have now. We’re very proud of this album and can’t wait to share it with the world.”
