Atreyu releases this Friday, the 10th, the new single “Children of Light”, featuring Max Cavalera. The track is part of the band's upcoming album, The End is Not the End, scheduled for release on April 24th via Spinefarm.
According to Atreyu, the new single was “heavily inspired by Sepultura ,” which generated the desire to have Max involved in the project. “'Children of Light' was created with a primal spirit in mind. A 'festival' song. Heavily inspired by classic Sepultura, and although it seemed like an impossible request, we wanted Max involved. We are honored to share this song with a legend,” the band commented.
According to the band, The End is Not the End is their heaviest album to date and also their most daring. “We realized that what made Atreyu special in the beginning was that we didn’t sound like anyone else,” explains vocalist Brandon Saller. “We didn’t fit in anywhere. We weren’t an emo band, or metal, or punk—but somehow it worked. We simply forged our own path.”
