Atreyu released the music video for the track "Super Hero," which is part of the band's 2018 album, titled In Our Wake . The song features a very special guest appearance by M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold and Aaron Gillespie of Underoath .
The song has a very delicate and relatable theme for thousands of people, about the challenge of being a role model for children, the band explained, “Our song 'Super Hero' was written about what it's like to be a parent and the sheer amount of time, effort, energy, and hard work required to be a real-life superhero for your kids. The song also has a broader meaning, especially given the current situation the whole world is dealing with. There are many superheroes out there who come in many forms – first responders, medical personnel, and healthcare professionals who are putting others first as they work to combat COVID-19 and save lives. We dedicate this song to them.”
