Atreyu released their album Baptize , they unveiled the music video for the title track. This is the group's first release since the departure of vocalist Alex Varkatzas in September 2020.

In Baptize , Bradon Saller, who previously shared vocals with Alex, sings solo for the first time. According to him, the album's name was inspired precisely by this change and the current world situation. "For obvious reasons, I think people have seen, or will see, the album title and understand where we're coming from," he commented during an interview with Rock Sound.

“But I think it applies to a broader spectrum than many people need right now. I think people need the concept or idea that a fresh start is something that can exist. And I think a lot of people, especially in the last year or so, have been stuck in a negative rut or a kind of indeterminate routine.”.

And besides being a kind of new beginning for us, we hope it will be that way for other people too, because we all need it right now. Everyone needs that shake-up to get things back to normal, even in their minds.”
