Atreyu has just released a new album.
Alex Varkatzaz , vocalist of Atreyu , said in an interview with Rocksound that the band invented metalcore.
“I don’t know where we fit in. I don’t think we fit into any scene. […] When we started it was a little easier. We were a hardcore band with metal. There was nobody like us. People get confused and say ‘you’re a metalcore band’, but we invented metalcore. That might sound arrogant, but I don’t care.”
