Atreyu's new album will be released in October
The American metalcore band Atreyu will release their seventh album, In Our Wake, on October 12th via Search & Destroy/Spinefarm.
The band released two singles today: the music video for the title track of the album, and also “Anger Left Behind”.
“Most of our videos have been based on stories or life. But in this one, we just
wanted the subtle thread of humanity's rise and fall. It starts with water,
then the land, nature, cityscapes, then humanity slowly decaying. We have a choice as a species to start giving a damn about ourselves and the world around us, and what we choose to do with this life.”
“The album title, In Our Wake, comes from the idea that every day we humans have two paths,” said bassist Porter McKnight . “Do you choose to inspire, uplift, and improve the lives of others? Or do you prefer to belittle, talk trash, and tear each other down? Every choice leaves a ripple effect that reverberates throughout your community, then your city, your nation, and eventually the entire world. Who do you leave in your wake?”
The album was produced by John Feldmann, who previously worked with the band on Lead Sails and Paper Anchor , released in 2007.
