Atomic Steif, former drummer of Sodom, dies at age 57.

Guido “Atomic Steif” Richter , former drummer for Sodom , has died at the age of 57. Details regarding the cause of death have not been released.

In a note published on the band's social media last Saturday, the 6th, bassist and vocalist Tom Angelripper lamented [transcription via Blabbermouth ] the passing: “Dear Sodomaniacs, I received the news today that our former drummer Atomic Steif passed away at the end of last week. The circumstances of his death are still unknown. Rest in peace, friend.”

Atomic Steif was a member of Sodom between 1993 and 1995, where he recorded the albums Get What You Deserve (1994) and Masquerade In Blood (1995) . In the 80s, he gained prominence in the underground with Violent Force and achieved notoriety after the release of the classic Malevolent Assault of Tomorrow (1987) .
