“Cérebros Atômicos”, a classic by Ratos de Porão , was released 35 years ago, but remains relevant and urgent, as shown by the impactful version by BNegão and Paulão King .
Celebrating the rapper, singer, and songwriter's relationship with punk and hardcore, the track is part of the album Metamorfoses, Riddims e Afins , Bnegão's first album, scheduled for release at the end of July 2021, distributed by Ditto Music.
The partnership with Paulão King is also a tribute to Bnegão's journey so far, especially the legacy he built alongside Seletores de Frequência , a group in which King remains a member.
With Pedro Garcia on drums and Nobru on bass and guitar, "Cérebros Atômicos" gains punk and metal influences in this reinterpretation, which enhances the version's critique of the power system within the current political and social landscape, especially in light of police actions, which are also criticized in the track's lyric video.
