Transforming pop songs into hardcore versions is one of the greatest pleasures for a wide variety of artists. Recently, the popular hit "Festa" by Ivete Sangalogot a screamo version sung by Gloria Groove, and even João Gordo succumbed to the charms of reinterpretations and is about to release an album of popular classics transformed into heavy music called Brutal Brega.

When artists themselves are unwilling to give their music a new look, sometimes internet users do it for them. This was the case with YouTuber Anthony Vincent, who created his own metalcore version of the pop hit "As It Was." The song by singer Harry Styles was styled to sound like a track straight out of Bring Me The Horizon's album 2013 )Sempiternal (

The original version of the current hit is a track with melancholic lyrics and a danceable melody, using a sample from the classic "Take On Me" by A-HA. Vincent's version, however, is full of heavy guitars and guttural screams mixed with melodic vocals, very similar to Oli Sykes.

Recently, Bring Me The Horizon themselves offered their personal touch to the pop hit “Bad Habits” by singer Ed Sheeran. They first performed a live version during the 2022 Brit Awards and then released the studio version of the song.
