Wendy Dio announces the bands that will be performing at the Ronnie James Dio tribute concert
During an interview this weekend, Ronnie James Dio's widow, Wendy Dio, spoke more about the album 'Tribute to Dio', which is scheduled for release in 2013.
When discussing confirmed artists, Wendy Dio mentioned the contributions of Glenn Hughes, who will perform his version of "Catch The Rainbow," and Anthrax with "Neon Knights." Regarding the song chosen by Metallica, Wendy Dio preferred to keep it a surprise.
Others like Judas Priest, Ian Gillan, Lemmy Kilmister, Alice Cooper, and Dave Grohl are also likely working on participating. When asked about younger artists, Wendy said she hadn't yet made an official offer, but that she would definitely choose Korn and Avenged Sevenfold.
