Arnel Pineda, the vocalist for Journey, responded to criticism of his vocal performance at Rock in Rio on his Facebook page. The singer promises to "leave if it's for the best," should many followers vote for him to leave the band.
The Filipino vocalist watched videos of the group's performance, which were published by the Facebook page Behind the Songs , and severely criticized their vocal performance.
Last Sunday, the 21st, Pineda spoke out on his official Facebook page, thanking Journey fans for their affection and reposting the post made by Behind the Songs .
In the post, the 57-year-old singer said ( via Blabbermouth ): “I’m aware. No one feels more devastated than I do by what happened. Here’s the deal: I’m giving even those who never liked me from the start the chance to type 'Leave' or 'Stay'. If 'Leave' gets 1 million votes, I’ll leave for the good of Journey.”
