John Bush , vocalist of Armored Saint , has stated that the group will release their new album in April 2026. The American band's last work is Punching the Sky , released in October 2020.

In an interview with Sea of Tranquility , Bush said [transcription via Blabbermouth ]: “We’re in the mixing phase of the new album. It will be released in April. We’re very excited. It’s sounding great. The songs are amazing.”

The singer also explained why Armored Saint took five years to work on a new album. The band's leader cited touring and the pandemic as directly impacting the schedule, and also explained that the group doesn't work quickly.

“Part of it was because of COVID, of course, because that delayed everyone, but then we went on tour several times. We did a few more tours and we really weren't planning on it. But going out there and playing was great. We really sold so many records and CDs on the road, it was crazy. Congratulations to all the fans who bought records, CDs and t-shirts, of course. But it kind of delayed things a bit. We didn't work quickly. I've always said that the quality of the music is the opposite of the quantity. But the new album will be released next year,” he concluded
