Armored Saint veterans are back with their first song in five years. “End of the Attention Span” was released along with a music video to celebrate the announcement of their new album Punching the Sky , which is due out on October 23rd via Metal Blade.
The song criticizes the lack of attention in a society so connected to its cell phone and computer screens. "The irony is that many of us feel connected through our cell phones or computers, but the truth is we've created a bridge between ourselves," said bassist Joey Vera when discussing the song.
“Our human interaction has been affected by an intense need for information. We are always 'searching' for something more. The result of this is a very harmful lack of attention.”
