The band Architects released yesterday, February 2nd, the new music video for the track "Black Lungs," the second preview of their new album, For Those That Wish To Exist , which will be released on February 26, 2021, via Epitaph . The first single from the project was "Animals," watch it here.
The post-apocalyptic video reinforces a tone of mission and reflection that inspired the creation of the song. As the band stated to the press, the track "calls us to examine the role we are currently playing in the destruction of the world with arid landscapes and a preview of extinction."
Following the theme of the song, vocalist Sam Carter stated last year in an interview with Kerrang! that one of the biggest inspirations for him and the world is environmental activist Greta Thunberg , and the activism and hope preached by the young woman seem to be present in the band's new album.
