Arch Enemy released the official music video for "Illuminate The Path" this Wednesday, the 20th. The track is part of their newest album, Blood Dynasty , released on March 28th by Century Media Records.
In an interview with Metal Kings , drummer Daniel Erlandsson said [via Blabbermouth ]: “'Illuminate The Path' originally didn't have that melodic chorus that we have now. It was [vocalist] Alissa [White-Gluz ]'s idea to create that melodic chorus. When you're working in the studio, you have the time and space to change the songs a bit, and inspiration comes suddenly.”
Arch Enemy and the new album Bloody Dynasty
Regarding the album, guitarist Michael Amott highlighted in an interview with Full Metal Jackie : “It’s everything the fans expect from us — and more. We put an absurd amount of energy into every track. Welcome to Blood Dynasty !”
Another highlight was the live debut of new guitarist Joey Concepcion , who played with Arch Enemy for the first time on April 24, 2024, in South Korea, during the band's Asian tour.
Joey replaced Jeff Loomis , who amicably left the group at the end of 2023. Although he joined the band in 2014, Loomis did not participate in the songwriting of the last two albums.
With Blood Dynasty , Arch Enemy reinforces that they remain relevant and creative. The band delves into new sonic atmospheres without abandoning their aggressive and distinctive identity.
