Arch Enemy is recording a new album

Hard Rock magazine interviewed Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz and guitarist Michael Amott to discuss the progress of the band's new album. Amott revealed that part of the album has already been recorded:

“The new album is written. It’s partially recorded. Right now Alissa is living in Canada and I’m in Switzerland, we’re sending each other files via email. I send a demo, she records the vocals in her home studio, sends it back, I think it’s great. You know, it’s been kind of like that, working separately. And later we’ll get together in Switzerland at some point, there’s still a lot to do.”

Amott also said that the vocalist, who replaced Angela Gossow in 2014, will make a difference in the sound of the new album:

“I think the material is quite diverse. It will have many elements that are characteristic of Arch Enemy. I can think of a song that is very, very different, but then we'll play it and with Alissa singing it will sound very Arch Enemy. So we're not leaving our old sound behind, but it's definitely something new. I think we're more relaxed perhaps than on the last album. Because Alissa has been with us for three years, and it's not as tense as last time.”
