Tom Morello , the renowned guitarist from Rage Against The Machine , will have his single "Come Play" used in the soundtrack of Arcane Season 2 , a series set in the universe of the game League of Legends (Riot Games) .
The song offers a rather unique mix for its genre, as the track features the K-Pop band Stray Kids and the Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko .
Morello incorporates into his single the already well-known and heavy riffs, distortions, K-pop energy, and Latin boldness, which make the track fit into the collective consciousness of the series and blend with its universe.
The series, which is scheduled to be released later this year, in November, by Netflix, also features big names in its soundtrack, such as Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong ( Linkin Park ), Twenty One Pilots , Ashnikko , Stromae , Marcus King , among others.
The music was created and developed specifically for the series, to further highlight the most important moments. Interestingly, many of the artists whose tracks are featured in the series are League of Legends players in their spare time and have previously collaborated with Riot Games.
Spotify's Top Global
Known for including songs by big names in its soundtrack, Arcane featured Imagine Dragons in Season 1, which reached the Top Global charts on Spotify, becoming one of the most listened-to songs on the platform.
If the first season of the series already featured big names in the soundtrack and a breathtaking, moving storyline, imagine what's to come in this second season.
