Osheaga music and arts festival celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2022, and one of the main headliners was supposed to be the Foo Fighters . Due to the cancellation of all the band's shows after the sudden death of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins , the festival announced this Thursday, the 14th, that Arcade Fire .
On social media, the Osheaga Festival wrote: “A milestone should be celebrated as a family, so for our 15th anniversary, it seemed to make sense to invite a group that has had the most profound impact on the heart of our city over the decades.”
Arcade Fire made their own announcement through videos on social media, and the members expressed their excitement about the show. Osheada takes place on the weekend of July 29-31 at Jean-Drapeau Park in Montreal, Quebec, and the other two headliners will be rapper A$AP Rocky and pop singer Dua Lipa.
Other rock acts confirmed to perform over the 3 days include Turnstile , Royal Blood , IDLES , Wet Leg, and Machine Gun Kelly. Find out more on the festival website.
