Aquiles Priester , former drummer of Angra , did not leave the band on the best of terms with the other members, but he found there a friendship and artistic partnership that remains to this day alongside Edu Falaschi .

In an interview with The Wikimetal Happy Hour , Priester recalled his first meeting with the singer. “I met Edu when we were making the Rebirth Kiko [Loureiro] 's house I had already joined Angra. When I started recording the demo, I didn't have a vocal track yet, Rafael [Bittencourt] already had the vocal track in his head, (...) but I recorded without knowing what vocal tracks were there,” he said. “Later, when Edu went to record, we met.”

The candidates to replace Andre Matos in Angra had to record the songs that the band had already created for the album: “Running Alone”, “Rebirth”, “Unholy Wars” and “Acid Rain”. “Rafael created the vocal lines and gave them to people to sing. So Edu was one of those guys and he arrives laughing, right? He's already 'Edu the Laugher', he's always in a good mood, he's a very good person to be around,” Priester continued.

The drummer left the band before Falaschi, and both spent some time apart, each focusing on their own career, and the musical reunion took 10 years. "Logically, we didn't have much contact; we crossed paths once or twice at festivals," he recalled. "It's very difficult, even if you have a good connection with the person who's in your former band, sometimes you don't have a good relationship with the people in that former band, so it's strange to run into them backstage. You always try to avoid it so as not to spoil the mood of the show."

After so much time, they both collaborated again on the album Vera Cruz , Falaschi's first solo album. "We're a very strong partnership, the people who are together are an impenetrable team, a very strong unit," he praised.
