Apocalyptica releases music video for cover of Metallica's "The Unforgiven II".

The track will be part of the group's upcoming album, titled 'Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2'.

Finnish band Apocalyptica have released the music video for "The Unforgiven II," a cover of Metallica .

The track is part of the band's upcoming work, Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2 , scheduled for release on June 7th by Throwdown Entertainment .

“We wanted to balance what we were doing between the old and the new,” explains Perttu Kivilaakso : “'The Unforgiven II' has beautiful melodies and the lyrics are great too. I loved the fact that we managed to combine this album and our first album in this way.”

In addition to "The Unforgiven II," the group also released a version of "The Four Horsemen," which features a special guest appearance by Metallica Robert Trujillo

Mikko Sirén's exit

In February, Apocalyptica announced that drummer Mikko Sirén was no longer part of the band . In a statement on social media, they wrote:

"Some of you may have already seen us playing without our drummer Mikko Siren in Brazil and Mexico earlier this year... or heard rumors to that effect."

“We are very sorry to inform you that we have amicably parted ways with Mikko after 20 years. Recording our next album was our last collective achievement. Furthermore, we want to assure you all that we – Eicca , Perttu, and Paavo – will continue as Apocalyptica. We wish Mikko happiness and success in all his future endeavors!!”
