On Wednesday, the 14th, Apocalyptica released the official music video for their cover of Cream ." The new rendition features Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach on vocals.
The music video is marked by strobe lights and fluorescent lamps composing the sets where the musicians appear playing. The interplay of light and post-editing effects help to set the scene in rhythm with the music, creating a visually electrifying work.
In a statement, Apocalyptica expressed their enthusiasm for the cover, which arrived on digital platforms on March 5th. “We were very excited for this release. Doing a cover of such a legendary song, originally by Cream, was a lot of fun, and having Jacoby Shaddix as a featured artist is a great pleasure for us! We hope you enjoy the song as much as we do,” the band wrote.
“White Room” follows the single “Talk To Me,” released in August 2020 in collaboration with Lzzy Hale , vocalist of Halestorm. Apocalyptica’s most recent album, Cell-0, arrived in January of the same year, being the band’s first entirely instrumental album in 17 years.
