The band Apocalyptica stars on the soundtrack of the new hit Netflix , Wednesday , with a cover of Metallica Nothing Else Matters " . Directed by Tim Burton , the series is a spin-off of the famous Addams Family, but this time follows the story of Morticia and Gomez's daughter.

Apocalyptica is a Finnish symphonic metal band with a history of famous covers early in their career. The version of "Nothing Else Matters" used in Wednesday is included on the album Inquisition Symphony (1998), which also features original songs. The track at the end of the third episode has a haunting instrumental aspect.

This isn't the first time a Metallica song has appeared in a Netflix series. The most recent example was the resounding success of the track "Master of Puppets" in Stranger Things . It not only reached the Spotify Top 50 for the first time but also spawned a clothing line and tributes at concerts. Other major artists like The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac are also featured in the streaming service's new offering.

Just days after its release, Wednesday surpassed Stranger Things and became the most-watched English-language series in a single week, totaling 341.2 million hours watched. Furthermore, it's number one in 83 countries on the platform.
