Metal bands capable of filling arenas "will become a thing of the past," says Anvil's vocalist.

Steve “Lips” Kudlow, vocalist of Anvil, discussed the future of metal in an interview.

Anvil vocalist Steve “Lips” Kudlow spoke in an interview about the future of metal.

The Classic Metal Show asked if there will be another wave of bands that will fill stadiums and take the places of Metallica, Iron Maiden , and Judas Priest . He replied:

“It won’t happen. It will become a thing of the past. It doesn’t exist and there won’t be the infrastructure to create it again. When that era ends, it’s over. That’s it. There are no 20-year-old bands filling arenas. It’s not like 35, 40 years ago, when Iron Maiden started, and Judas Priest. That’s over.”

Anvil will release their new album, Legal At Last , on February 14th.
