Last Saturday, the 29th, thousands of people across Brazil took to the streets to protest against President Jair Bolsonaro and the deaths of over 460,000 people due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many Brazilian rock and metal artists have spoken out in favor of the protests. Andreas Kisser , from Sepultura , shared a post from former senator Marina Silva that read "For a healthy and democratic environment #OutWithBolsonaro".
João Gordo posted an image comparing the pro-Bolsonaro demonstrations on Paulista Avenue and Sunday's demonstrations, which occupied 7 city blocks, writing "It's time!", while Fernanda Lira , from Crypta , wrote: "Unfortunately, 459,000 LIVES are missing, 459,000 PEOPLE WHO WERE THE LOVE OF SOMEONE'S LIFE. All this because your president refused 14 vaccine offers. How many lives could have been saved?"
Felipe Machado , Jean Patton , and Max Kolesne also spoke out on their social media, and Clemente Tadeu was personally present at the protests. Check out the posts:
