Anthrax will be offering virtual music lessons via Topeka Live for fans over the next few months .
Following in the footsteps of David Ellefson School's Out project , the band will hold sessions with each member teaching their musical specialty. Scott Ian will be giving guitar and composition lessons, as well as a question and answer session; Frank Bello will be teaching bass and composition; Charlie Benante will be teaching drums and a composition "clinic"; and Jonathan Donais will be giving a guitar "clinic".
The "Anthrax school," however, unlike Ellefson's project, will be paid, given the postponement of tours for the rest of the year. For example, classes will cost an average of $300, and "clinics" $75. So, is it worth the investment?
In addition to the classes, Anthrax announced a new line of band merchandise that will contribute to the fight against COVID-19. Furthermore, within the first 72 hours, anyone who buys the new band t-shirts will receive a free mask. To see and purchase the products, click here .
