Anthrax: Watch the performance of "The Devil You Know" from the band's 40th anniversary event.

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Anthrax held a global livestream.

Last Friday, the 16th, Anthrax celebrated their 40th anniversary as a band with a special livestream for fans. The event featured an extensive set of hits from the veterans along with rare gems from their catalog.

For those who missed the live stream, the 2.5-hour show is available on demand on the official Anthrax website until 10:59 PM (Brasilia time) on July 25th. The edition includes over an hour of extra footage and three bonus songs.

As a gift to the fans, the band has made available an energetic performance of "The Devil You Know," as well as a thank-you video for all the decades on the road. Both can be found at the end of this post.

“I just used my calculator and found that 40 years equals 14,600 days, and when I stop to think about it in that context, it doesn’t seem like much,” reflects Scott Ian . “It’s almost the same as the number of steps I take in a day, according to the app on my phone, so it doesn’t seem like that much time.”
