Scott Ian announces on Twitter
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian posted on Twitter this week that the band has already begun work on their next album: “Charlie Benante and Frank Bello are coming over today to start writing the next album. The few skeletons we can already hear sound addictive!”
Guitarist Jon Donais, from Shadows Fall, has been working with the band since Rob Caggiano's departure in January. In an interview with Metal Hammer, Ian spoke about the guitarist's situation: "I know we haven't announced anything officially yet, but for me he's the guy."
Anthrax's new album follows "Anthems," an EP of covers released in March of this year. The band's last album of original material was "Worship Music," in 2011.
