Slayer will be doing their farewell tour along with Anthrax and other bands.

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian spoke in an interview with Meltdown about Slayer's farewell tour, which Anthrax will be a part of.

“We’ve been friends for a long time, and over the last seven or eight years, we’ve played together quite a bit, including two big tours in Europe and the United States. So, when they called us months ago asking if we’d like to do this tour now… At the time, when I first heard from our agent, there was no indication that this was a farewell tour. It was just, ‘Do you want to be part of this tour with Slayer, Lamb Of God, Behemoth, and Testament?’, and I was thrilled. I’m always excited to tour.”

Asked about Slayer's decision to stop playing, Ian said: “I understand. I've been around those guys long enough, and I understand. And obviously, losing Jeff was such a big thing… Gary Holt is great and there's nobody who could have filled that role better than him, but still they lost Jeff, and I understand that after that it won't be the same. I understand that they've come to what is obviously a difficult decision to make, 'Okay, let's put an end to it'. And you know what? All the best things have a great ending. Whether it's a book, a movie, a TV series.”
