Jon Donais will play with the band in 2013
Following Rob Caggiano's departure from Anthrax earlier this month, the band announced that Shadows Fall guitarist Jon Donais will be joining them for their shows scheduled for this year.
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian commented that he has worked with Donais on other projects and considers him a great guitarist. Donais explained that Caggiano had called him to ask if he would take his place in the band, and then Scott called to get his answer. Donais said he grew up listening to Anthrax and that "it would be crazy to refuse the offer."
Donais thanked Shadows Fall for supporting his decision and says he has been practicing guitar solos with Scott Ian via Skype.
