Ann Wilson, from Heart, announces solo album 'Fierce Bliss'.

The Heart vocalist was recently named Bruce Dickinson's favorite singer.

According to Blabbermouth , Ann Wilson , lead singer of Heart , will release her new solo album, Fierce Bliss , on April 29th.

The album is a classic rock project that mixes original songs co-written by Ann Wilson herself with some covers across 11 tracks. Some classics that would have gained a new arrangement in the singer's voice are "Love Of My Life" by Queen , "Missionary Man" by Eurythmics , and "Bridge Of Sighs" by Robin Trower .

Last month, Ann Wilson gave a preview of what's to come on her new album with the single "Greedy," which received an official music video this Tuesday, the 8th. According to the singer, this "greed" would be having things like money, sex, power, or glory as motivation for her actions.

“I think people who say they make every decision based on idealism and claim they’ve never done anything shady or greedy are lying,” Wilson said ( Blabbermouth ). “I think everyone who enters the music industry, especially seeking a successful career, ends up making these Faustian bargains at some point, even if briefly.”

Recently, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden revealed that Ann Wilson is his favorite female vocalist among the numerous women who have been part of the rock music scene.
