The singer will release an album that will pay tribute to deceased vocalists.
Heart vocalist Ann Wilson has announced details about her new solo album, Immortal , scheduled for release on September 14th. The album contains a collection of covers of deceased artists who inspired the singer.
Among the songs performed were "I Am The Highway" by Audioslave , "I'm Afraid of Americans" by David Bowie , and "Luna" by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers .
Wilson stated: “Right now, I’m happy to have any opportunities, and I feel very proud of this project. I feel that these souls have made a real and lasting contribution to art, and honoring them is my greatest pleasure.”
She also revealed that the album will feature special guests, " Mike Flicker is working with me on this new album. We'll also have some surprise guests on the recordings, including Jeff Beck , Warren Haynes , and Ben Mink ."
The vocalist will embark on a North American tour to promote the release starting next month. The cover art, however, will be revealed during that period.
