Animals as Leaders , one of the most innovative progressive metal bands today, recently announced their return to Brazil for a single performance.
The show, confirmed for August 26th at Teatro Bradesco in São Paulo, is part of the world tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of the album The Joy of Motion (2014), which will be performed in its entirety for the first time in Brazil.

Led by virtuoso guitarist Tosin Abasi , alongside Javier Reyes (rhythm guitar) and Matt Garstka (drums), Animals as Leaders has established itself as one of the most respected names in contemporary instrumental metal. Since its inception in 2007 as Abasi's solo project, the group has expanded the boundaries of the genre with its technical approach, rich in rhythmic complexity and modern textures—being one of the main references of the djent movement and a source of inspiration for musicians worldwide.
Released in 2014, the album The Joy of Motion is a landmark in the band's discography and one of the most influential works in modern progressive metal. With emblematic tracks such as "Ka$cade," "Tooth and Claw," "Physical Education," and "Another Year," the album took the trio's sound to new heights, winning over critics and audiences with its bold musicality and refined production.
This will be the group's third visit to Brazil. On all previous occasions, the band sold out tickets and received standing ovations from passionate fans, delivering historic nights with technically flawless performances and contagious energy on stage.
