The band is playing this Sunday in São Paulo
In an interview with Wikimetal this week, Angra's founding guitarist, Rafael Bittencourt, and the band's current vocalist, Fabio Lione, discussed the band's former vocalists, Edu Falaschi and Andre Matos. The guitarist revealed that the relationship with Andre Matos always had problems:
“ My relationship with Andre was always very bad. Even before the band broke up, our personal relationship was already very bad, and unfortunately it remained bad. ” Bittencourt says that the former vocalist was invited to play with the band on this tour but, according to the guitarist, the invitation was refused.
Bittencourt praised Edu Falaschi and said that their relationship has always been excellent: "He was even invited to participate in this show, but he feels it's not the right time, and we respect his reasons, whatever they may be."
Regarding the band's partnership with Italian vocalist Fabio Lione, those interviewed said it should continue. "This 'relationship' between Angra and Fabio is already being considered for a marriage."
Angra will play in São Paulo this Sunday at the HSBC Arena, with special guests. Tarja Turunen, Russell Allen, and Uli Jon Roth are among some of the musicians who will participate in the show.
