Angra album Rebirth (2001) will have a commemorative tour celebrating its 20th anniversary between June and July 2022.
Although dates have not yet been announced, the band shared the news on social media. The event is being organized by the production company Toplink , marking the return of Paulo Baron as Angra's manager, with whom the group had previously worked for seven years.
“I am very happy to be touring with Fabio Lione, Felipe Andreoli, Marcelo Barbosa, and Bruno Valverde . It will be very symbolic to return and relive a time when the band was being reborn, and at this moment the whole world is being reborn,” commented founder and guitarist Rafael Bittencourt. “For me, it will also be a rediscovery of a work that meant a lot in my life. A work that revealed what I was feeling at the time.”
According to Bittencourt, revisiting this work will also influence Angra's new album. Marcelo Barbosa estimates the new album should be released later this year , but the project is in a very early stage of development at the moment.
