Angra continues its strong build-up to the release of their live DVD ØMNI Live , which is available for pre-order along with the CD.
This Friday, the 9th, the band released a performance of "Nova Era" which featured the Lima Family . This was the first time the song was performed live by a string quartet. The performance was part of the 2018 show held at Tom Brasil, in São Paulo.
In a statement to TRM Press , bassist Felipe Andreoli spoke about the track: “'Nova Era' is one of the most emblematic songs from the beginning of my journey with Angra. It was the song that gave us the certainty that we were carrying the rock and the pillars upon which Angra was formed. It was such an important song that it ended up giving the lineup that recorded Rebirth 'Angra Nova Era'. It's speed metal in the vein of the great epics that Angra is known for, and it gained a very special flavor with the participation of the Lima Family.”
Recently, Angra released a live performance of "Rebirth," which is also part of the ØMNI Live DVD.
