Angra performed their first two shows of the year aboard the heavy metal cruise ship, 70000 Tons Of Metal . According to the website Bravewords , the luxurious passenger ship Freedom Of The Seas sailed from January 29th to February 2nd from Miami, Florida, to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and returned along the same route.
The band energized the cruise passengers, even creating a moment of "crowd surfing," which involves people being carried through the crowd.
In their setlist, the band played songs from their new album Cycles Of Pain , but also invoked the timeless "Carry On," "Nova Era," "Rebirth," "Morning Star," and even drove the audience wild with "Nothing to Say." According to Angra , one of the shows, which took place by the pool, was recorded for the later release of a DVD.

Regarding the Cycles of Pain
As published on the KissFM , the tour for the album Cycles of Pain , which was produced by Dennis Ward and features Amanda Somerville , Brazilian musicians Vanessa Moreno and Lenine , began with a full schedule of dates in Brazil and entered 2024 with confirmed dates for Europe and the United States, in addition to a series of performances with Jeff Scott Soto Summer Breeze Open Air Brasil festival in the same month.
It's also worth remembering that on August 12, 2023, they had already performed a show for the recording of an acoustic DVD in Curitiba, at the Ópera de Arame , which featured Toni Garrido , Vanessa Moreno , and producer Amanda Somerville .
