Angra and Lenine release music video for "Vida Seca," a highlight from 'Cycles of Pain'

Angra's new album was released in early November

Last Thursday, the 30th, Angra Cycles of Pain , recorded with Lenine .

Directed by award-winning director Leo Liberti , the video – available on the official Atomic Fire record label channel – offers an awareness-raising look at a harsh reality, creating a scenario for reflection.

The song's theme emerged from a conversation between the musicians about meritocracy, social justice, and the unequal conditions of society. The narrative of the lyrics blends with scenes of real people – not actors – drawing a parallel with the general concept proposed in the almost homonymous book and literary classic, "Vidas Secas" (Barren Lives), regarding the cyclical nature of the characters.

“Lyrically, 'Vida Seca' is about a child born into poverty, a very common situation in Brazil and many other countries. Despite the difficulties of childhood, throughout life he ends up having opportunities and achieving a better condition. It's a vision about meritocracy and how unfair it is to expect the same level of achievement from people with very different initial conditions,” comments bassist Felipe Andreoli .
