Angra Acoustic – Live at Opera de Arame , this Friday, the 11th . The material is already available on digital platforms and has also been released on CD, DVD, and vinyl.
It's worth noting that this is the band's last release before they pause their activities in March 2025.
Featuring a total of 15 songs, the album includes special appearances by Toni Garrido ( Cidade Negra ), Vanessa Moreno , and Amanda Sommerviile .
In an official statement, Rafael Bittencourt , leader and guitarist of the band, says: “I am very happy to finally release Angra's first acoustic album, which took us a long time to make happen. It's the realization of a long-held dream of mine.”
"It was a lot of work; we put a lot of dedication and care into all the arrangements for the orchestra, piano, etc. It's really cool to hear the songs stripped of Angra's main stereotypes: the guitars, solos, high notes, and virtuoso drums, and to see that the music, without those elements, remains really great."
The band also released a music video for "Wuthering Heights"
Kate Bush 's song "Wuthering Heights" was included in the setlist for the Curitiba show, where it was performed by Sommerville, but it was removed from the album. In a statement, the group said they did not obtain the rights to include the song on the album. However, a music video for the song was made available on the band's official YouTube channel.
