Fabio Lione , vocalist of Angra , recalled his first contacts with the band in an interview with The Wikimetal Happy Hour – first when he befriended Andre Matos and, later, when he received invitations to become the group's vocalist on two different occasions.

The relationship with Matos began when the Brazilian was in Italy. Right away, they got along very well, as Andre even knew the work of Labyrinth , the Italian's first band. "We were in a bar, talking and having a drink. I was very happy, my relationship with Andre was immediately as a friend. He spoke almost perfect Italian. So the first contact was absolutely with him," he recounted.

At the end of 2007, Lione embarked with Vision Divine on the band's first tour in Latin America. The musician already knew Kiko Loureiro Iron Maiden 's "Wasted Years" in São Paulo.

“After the show, we talked a lot. And they even came to tell me that… It wasn’t an invitation, but they said they were having problems with Andre and asked if I was interested in Angra for a possible position as the band’s new vocalist,” he said.

At the time, the invitation didn't go ahead due to Lione's personal and artistic life at that moment, which encouraged the hiring of Edu Falaschi . Recently, the Italian singer revealed that he didn't appreciate the group's caution before announcing him as the new vocalist when he finally accepted the position.
