Paulo Baron, Angra 's manager , explained for the first time the absence of Luis Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori from the reunion shows – who, along with Andre Matos , are members from the band's first phase.

After controversies among fans, criticism on social media, and rumors about what was happening behind the scenes with Angra, the manager publicly commented on the situation involving the band. In a direct statement, he affirmed that the recent actions are part of a plan to honor different moments in the group's history.

“From the beginning, I was very sure that I couldn't leave out those who helped us build this entire path during the 13 years I've been the band's manager. And now you want to know, for those who ask: what happens to Luis Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori? We also want Luis Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori under our umbrella, within what Angra is. What happened is that Andre Matos is no longer present. So, in the little show time we had, we needed to include the people who are part of this legacy, this second legacy,” explained Baron.

He continued: “But Luis Mariutti and Ricardo are part of the family. I want to remind everyone that I was Shaman's manager, and I have a very special appreciation, affection, and love for these people, as well as Rafael, Kiko, and Felipe, who are part of our management and help us build all of this.”.

The businessman also mentioned Fabio Lione

Last November, vocalist Fabio Lione announced his departure from Angra, which he had been a part of since 2013. The musician gave his last performance with the band at the special show at Bangers Open Air 2026, marking his farewell.

“So, every path we take has a reason. Fabio Lione's departure has a reason, and we don't need to expose that in the media or say things that aren't necessary. We simply have to value the legacy of each of these people and love them. Fabio is a very loved person and will always have open doors within Angra, at least as long as I continue to be the band's manager,” explained Baron.

Paulo Baron also revealed that Angra will continue with its celebratory tour. “You will see several different chapters over the next few months and possibly years. And all of them, above all, will be to touch the hearts of many fans—not just a segment of fans, but all the fans we have in the world, all the fans who know the various legacies that have existed,” he stated.

The statement came after the reunion shows New Era, which sparked debate about the participation of former members, the absence of historical musicians, and the band's future.
