On August 12th, Angra will take the stage at the Ópera de Arame in Curitiba for a special acoustic show.
The iconic heavy metal group's performance will feature, in addition to Angra's most famous classics in an unplugged format, the participation of an orchestra and special guest musicians, to celebrate the band's legacy and its more than thirty-year career.
The live experience will be immortalized with the release of a live DVD, which will be recorded that night. Tickets are on sale at the Bilheto .
The guitarist and founder of the quintet, Rafael Bittencourt, promises a historic performance: “This acoustic show is a dream come true for me. Since the Andre Matos , we've been doing acoustic sets in record stores and even acoustic shows. I always wanted to record something, which doesn't have to be exclusively with acoustic instruments, but smooth and elegant versions of Angra's songs.”
“Our idea is to showcase the music in its essence, stripped of heavy metal stereotypes, fast bass drums, guitar solos, and incredible high notes. I would like to prove to people that, even without these elements, which are hallmarks of our style, the songs remain good, rich in harmonies, melodies, and lyrics,” he concludes.
