Angra invites Alírio Netto to Bangers Open Air

On Monday morning, the 24th, Angra announced Alírio Netto as the vocalist for the show at Bangers Open Air. Through a statement on social media , the band informed that "Alírio Netto will be on vocals for the historic reunion show at Bangers Open Air." “Thank you to the Angra fans for welcoming me on this journey that is also yours. I arrive with humility, respect, and deep love for this band. I will do my best to honor, with profound respect, the legacy of Fábio, Edu, and the late André Matos. Great inspirations in my life,” said Alírio Netto.

Angra had announced a hiatus in August 2025 after the end of the 20th anniversary tour for the album Temple of Shadows . The decision was motivated by exhaustion after years of intense work and the members' desire to dedicate themselves to personal projects.

According to Rafael Bittencourt , the band's hiatus is expected to last 2 to 3 years, during which time they will not be working on new compositions. However, the band plans to return in the future, although little information has been released so far, other than a reunion show.
