Angela Gossow Arch Enemy frontwoman and current manager of the band, praised the new vocalist Lauren Hart , describing her as her "reincarnation" and said she had considered a possible return to the band.
Through a social media post , Angela, who closely followed Hart's career, said that the two share vocal technique, musical taste, and dedication—and that the singer is prepared to sustain a long career in metal.
“My sister at heart. Such a warm and genuine person. We share the same musical taste, the same vocal technique, and the same dedication to music, to people, and to fitness. We've known each other personally for many years. I've been following her journey with Once Human , rooting for her success. Then, I crossed my fingers that she would join another famous metal band. It didn't work out. But she never gave up! So, I thought about putting together a new band for her – something like a mix of Dimmu Borgir , Arch Enemy , In Flames , Machine Head , and Once Human. I asked her to send several covers to get a complete idea of her vocal abilities (she nailed it!) and I started looking for musicians who would fit her talent,” said Angela.
Lauren Hart, former member of Once Human, was officially introduced as Alissa White-Gluz 's replacement in Arch Enemy with the release of the single "To The Last Breath".
Angela considered returning to Arch Enemy
Angela also spoke about having considered a possible return to the band , but opted not to resume vocals due to her personal life and responsibilities offstage. However, she left open the possibility of doing one-off performances in the future.
“And then things happened in the Arch Enemy universe. I thought a lot about going back to the band. I analyzed my life, my age, my young children, my workload. And the answer was no. Both emotionally and rationally. We received many applications from incredible vocalists from all over the world. I introduced Lauren to the guys. Michael [ Amott , founding guitarist of Arch Enemy] got in touch. She recorded the vocals in December 2025. She ascended. Like a phoenix rising to the sky. So intense. So glorious. She is the reincarnation of Angela. Surpassing my abilities. Ready to last for decades. I am honored and grateful to work with her. Finally.”
Then Angela added: “All the best to Alissa! She’s going to rock with her solo album! I’ve wanted to do this since 2016. She has great female artists by her side and will definitely leave her mark on the metal world. Yes, I’m up for doing solo shows.”.
Arch Enemy will perform at Bangers Open Air 2026 , which takes place on April 25th and 26th at the Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo. Tickets are already on sale at the Clube do Ingresso website.
