The Agonist's vocalist steps in to replace him.

Vocalist Angela Gossow announced on her Facebook page today that she has left Arch Enemy. She will be replaced by The Agonist vocalist Alissa White-Gluz. Gossow wrote:

“Dear Arch Enemy fans, this isn’t easy to say… I’ve decided to step down as the vocalist of Arch Enemy. After 13 years of pure Metal, 6 studio albums and countless tours across 5 continents, I feel it’s time to start a new phase in my life, be with my family and pursue new interests.”

Regarding the new vocalist, Gossow writes: “I’m passing the microphone to the super talented Alissa White-Gluz, who I’ve known for years as a friend and a great vocalist. I’ve always felt she deserves a chance to shine and this is her time .

The vocalist says she will continue working with the band as their manager. Arch Enemy is set to release their final album with Gossow on vocals, "War Eternal," in June.
