Andreas Kisser was interviewed on the Globo Conversa com Bial Patfest , created to honor Patricia Kisser , wife of the Sepultura , who passed away this year due to cancer. The event takes place this Wednesday, the 28th, in São Paulo.
In an interview with Pedro Bial , Andreas spoke about how the difficulties of his wife's final days led him to reflect on the importance of considering death and rights such as euthanasia or assisted suicide, which are still considered crimes in Brazil.
“It’s a festival to celebrate life and talk about death,” he said. “Everything we’ve been through has strengthened us as a family and helped us fight for those who often don’t even have the means to have a doctor, a hospital, morphine, a sedative, the comfort of having relatives by their side, psychologists, and so on.”
The conversation also featured a lawyer specializing in the rights of terminally ill patients and the so-called living will, a document to record the patient's wishes regarding their own treatment, which is not yet common knowledge.
Bringing together various names in music, the Patfest event will take place this Wednesday, the 28th, at Audio, in São Paulo. The lineup will consist of artists who were always on Patrícia's playlists, as well as friends. Among these artists are Sandy, Dinho Ouro Preto, Samuel Rosa, Nando Reis, Chitãozinho and Xororó, in addition to friends from the Os Pitais project, which brings music to hospitals and charitable institutions.
