Andrea Meyer , a German singer, actress, multi-instrumentalist, and writer, died on the 13th of this month at the age of 52, during an attack with a bow and arrows.

Meyer was one of five victims who died as a result of the attack, which also injured three other people in the small town of Kongsberg, Norway. The attack was orchestrated by Dane Espen Andersen Braathen , who entered a supermarket, among other locations in the town, and attacked people randomly.

According to local news reports, the man had a restraining order against him after he threatened to kill his parents. He also had convictions for robbery and drug possession.

Andrea Meyer lent her voice to The Principle of Evil Made Flesh , the first album by Cradle of Filth , and Nemesis Divina , the third album by Satyricon , in addition to writing the lyrics for the track "The Arcane Light of Hecate," a song by the black metal band Necromantia , which speaks about the Greek goddess Hecate . The vocalist was married to guitarist Tomas "Samoth" Haugen ( Emperor , ex- Gorgoroth , ex- Zyklon , ex- Thou Shalt Suffer , ex- Arcturus ), with whom she had a daughter.

Dani Filth, vocalist of Cradle of Filth, commented on the artist's passing on Instagram, saying "Rest in peace Andréa Meyer." He also commented a bit on the tragedy that led to her death.
