Summer Breeze Brasil festival Andre Matos ' legacy this Saturday, the 29th, in São Paulo, in a show that faced delays and technical problems, but managed to deliver emotional moments.
After the screening of the second chapter of the documentary about the life of the Maestro of Rock on the Waves Stage, it was Viper, Shaman , and two members of Angra turn to represent Andre's legacy at the event.
The second show of the day on the Ice Stage, after Benediction, suffered from technical problems that delayed the start of the show and caused several adjustments with the musicians already on stage.
Without mentioning much about the honoree of the performance, who wasn't even shown on the screen, the presentation was divided into parts. The first was a short solo set by Viper, who opened the show with their recent single "Under The Sun." The band then delivered a beautiful and extremely emotional moment with "Living For The Night," sung in chorus by the audience.
Alírio Netto's charisma perfectly complemented the pauses caused by the show's technical issues, as the sound presented several challenges, sometimes obscuring the vocals and guitars.
The show featured classics like “Fairy Tale” and “Carry On,” but without relying on Andre Matos' image, either on the screen or in the musicians' speeches. Netto was responsible for giving a “special thanks to the Summer Breeze for the tribute to the great maestro Andre Matos” and raising his hands to the sky with a message to the musician. “Andrezão, this one's for you, thank you so much, my brother,” he said.
With Felipe Andreoli and Luis Mariutti alternating on bass in the second part of the show, the drummer recruited by Shaman was Rodrigo Oliveira, from Korzus and Oitão, who replaced Ricardo Confessori .
