Megadeth's shows have been cancelled after Dave Mustaine was diagnosed with cancer

On Monday, it was announced that several Megadeth shows around the world had been cancelled due Dave Mustaine 's recently diagnosed throat cancer . This included all shows in Brazil, including the Rock in Rio performance .

The event organizers made the fact official with an announcement:

"All our strength to Dave Mustaine. The Megadeth frontman has been diagnosed with throat cancer, and what matters now is his recovery. The entire Rock in Rio team is sending our best wishes for Dave's speedy recovery and return to the stage. Megadeth's show at Rock in Rio 2019 has been cancelled, and we will provide more information about the lineup soon," the statement said.

In the comments sections of various pages, including Wikimetal, many people have been requesting a tribute to Andre Matos. The vocalist passed away on the 8th, at the age of 47, a victim of a heart attack . An online petition has also been created.

The idea is to bring together the musician's three bands, Angra, Viper, and Shaman , in a tribute. However, there is no confirmation of any plans for the reunion from the Rock In Rio organization.
